Rhythm City Going On A Cast Purge | Bye-Bye Ntando Duma & Dumisani Mbebe

Word is that Quizzical Pictures produced soapie on etv, Rhythm City, is going on a major cast purge. Sources have told me that the writers of the show have decided to write off the Dandala family.

The sudden decision to do away with the Dandalas unfortunately comes at a hefty price for the actors who bring the fictional family to life on the show.

Ntando Duma, who joined the show in May 2015, is rumoured to be getting the axe but etv tells me she is not leaving.

Duma has had quite a rise since being on the tv show. The gorgeous former Craz-e presenter is nominated in the Sowetan Sexiest Women of the year calendar, she is the first African to be the brand ambassador for Sketchers sneakers and is a regular feature on entertainment blogs and news sites. She has arrived so her fans needn't worry, if she gets booted out she will find work elsewhere.

Mbebe, who plays Doc Dandala, is an industry pro. The man has been at this tv acting game for a minute and I doubt he too will be unemployed for too long. Etv says he will be leaving the show in November to focus on his production company called Ingomso Film Skills and Youth Development.

Rhythm City airs weekdays at 18h30 on etv.
