Top 10 Highest Paid Male Models In The World

Fashion is just about the only industry where women make exponentially more than men; the highest paid male models pale in comparison to their female colleagues in the same bracket.

For example, according to a recent Forbes article using data from 2013 and 2014, Sean O’Pry, the highest earning male on the list, made R22 million, compared to Gisele Bundchen’s R690 million.

Here is the list of the Top 10 Highest Earning Models

  • Sean O'Pry – R22 Million

  • David Gandy – R20 Million

Simon Nessman – R16 million.

Arthur Kulkov, Russian – R13 Million

Noah Mills, American – R11 Million

  • Ryan Burns, American – R9 Million

Tyson Ballou, American – R6 Million

  • Ollie Edwards, British – R6 Million

Jon Kortajarena, Spanish – R4 Million

  • Tobias Sorensen, Danish – R4 Million

  • The highest paid black male model is most likely Tyson Beckford

Best associated with the commercial brand, Ralph Lauren, the American actor and fashion model has an estimated net worth of R205 Million as of 2012. This makes him one of the most successful male models of all time and certainly the highest paid black male model ever.

My pick based on his body of work: The Highest Paid South African Male Model: Matthew Giesler

New York based South African native Matt Giesler has shot campaigns for the likes of Ralph Lauren with Bruce Weber and editorials for magazines including DSECTION, GQ Style, Elle, GQ, Attitude, and Men’s Health.

The Highest Paid Black South African Male Model is; Mac Phiri

He is the London-based South African toned dark-skinned model who is fast becoming a staple in menswear look-books, fashion editorials and men’s fashion runways around the world.  Phiri has done editorial campaigns and runways for big names such as Spencer Hart, Vivienne Westwood, and Billy Reid among other renowned fashion designers and houses. In May 2014, British label John Lewis picked Mac to represent the special Spring/Summer 2014 menswear collection designed by Irish designer Orla Kiely.
